Reminder for McKinney-Vento Parents and Students: Free laundromat service will be available tonight (November 12th), from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Magic Wash Laundromat in Stamps. You must bring the Voucher-card that was mailed to your house to the laundromat to receive these services.
Big thanks to the students of LCHS National Honor Society, sponsored by Mrs. Hamilton, for hosting the Veterans Day program today (November 11th). Shout-Out to the LCHS Band and our 3rd Grade Choir for their performances. The biggest thank you goes to all of our area Veterans for their service to our country.
The Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative has provided area school districts with free access to the extra services from ParentGuidance.org for our parents and caregivers. This website provides parents with answers to their mental health questions. The extra services include: individual Parent Coaching sessions, Webinars on different topics, and Ask a Therapist Live workshops. A monthly calendar with schedules will be uploaded to our website and Facebook page.
School will resume at normal time tomorrow, Friday, November 1st for both campuses.
Early dismissal today is District-wide, Elementary and High School campuses.
Due to unexpected electrical issues caused by recent storms at our High School campus, we will begin dismissing students at 11:00 for car riders and 11:15 for buses. Priority is always to ensure the safety of our students and staff. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your understanding.

C & C Packing recently donated 2 Gift Certificates to Lafayette County High School. LCHS will host their Fall Family/STEM Night on November 14th, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. Trey'varius Johnson, a LCHS Sophomore, is pictured with the gift certificates. The certificates will be used as door prizes. Thanks again: C & C Packing for your support.

After a through investigation by the Lafayette County Resource Officer, Criminal Investigation Division and the Patrol Division, the Lafayette County Sheriff's office was able to determine THERE IS NO CREDIBLE THREAT to the school or any student who attends the school stemming from this incident.
LCSD has been informed of a potential threat against the school. Out of extreme caution, we will increase police presence throughout the District and follow our safety procedures. While these threats are trending throughout our state and nation, we will always take them seriously.
