Here is the updated school supply list for 2025/2026 school year. We look forward to seeing you August 12.

Congratulations to Jacorian Rodgers! Jacorian was elected as Justice of the Peace 3 for Qualls County at Arkansas Boys State 2025, a summer leadership and civic engagement sponsored by the American Legion. He was elected by his peers on May 26th as part of the 84th annual session of AR Boys State, where students build a mock government structure. He was one of more than 600 students from throughout the state attending Boys State at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. We are very proud of your accomplishments Jacorian!

📢 Attention Parents/Guardians!
I hope you are all enjoying a safe and relaxing summer break. This is a friendly reminder to contact your local health department at 870-921-5744 before the start of the school year to ensure your child is up to date on all required vaccinations.
With cases of measles and other preventable illnesses on the rise, we—the nurses of LCSD—are committed to helping keep all of our students healthy and safe. 💉
👉 If you have a child in grades K–6 or 7–12, please review the immunization guidelines below.
📌 Students entering 7th grade must have two required vaccines before school starts.
📌 Students age 16 or turning 16 over the summer will also need an updated vaccination.
If you are planning to request a vaccination exemption for your child, please note that a new exemption form must be completed each school year. Be sure to submit the updated form when school begins. You can find the link for the exemption form below.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation in keeping our school community healthy. 💙
Sincerely,
— LCSD Nurses

As we begin the summer break, the next 2 months will lead to some community service opportunities. Arkansas Code 6-16-1901: Beginning with the graduating Class of 2027, a public high school student shall complete a minimum of 75 community service hours in order to graduate. Act 803 of 2025 now allows a parent to "sign off" that the student completed a particular community service task. A student must complete and turn in a community service form to the high office for that task to count toward his or her required 75 hours. Student forms can be found in the high office or on our website (Click on More/Click on Forms): https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/3982/LCSD/5693260/Community_Service_Student_Form.pdf

Just a reminder! Early dismissal tomorrow, May 29th at 1:30pm.
No school Friday, May 30th!
Have a wonderful summer!
