The Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative has provided area school districts with free access to the extra services from ParentGuidance.org for our parents and caregivers. This website provides parents with answers to their mental health questions. The extra services include: individual Parent Coaching sessions, Webinars on different topics, and Ask a Therapist Live workshops. The Lafayette County School District will have its Annual Title 1 meeting inside the School Board building on Tuesday, September 23rd, at 5:30 P.M. Any parent or community member is welcome to attend.

Reminder: Lafayette County High School will sponsor a Grandparent's Day Breakfast on Friday, September 12th, inside the high school cafeteria between 7:15 A.M. and 7:45 A.M. It is free for the Grandparent to sit and visit; however, there will be a cost of $1.00 to partake in the sausage biscuit breakfast.

Disposal notice of Special Education Records: In accordance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Lafayette County School District will permanently dispose of special education records, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents, from the 2017 school year and below. Congratulations to Jacorian Rodgers! Jacorian was elected as Justice of the Peace 3 for Qualls County at Arkansas Boys State 2025, a summer leadership and civic engagement sponsored by the American Legion. He was elected by his peers on May 26th as part of the 84th annual session of AR Boys State, where students build a mock government structure. He was one of more than 600 students from throughout the state attending Boys State at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. We are very proud of your accomplishments Jacorian!
