Summer reading program starts June 4th at the Library!
The Lafayette County School District is accepting referrals for our Gifted & Talented program. If your child or student is currently in our GT program, this Google form link does not apply to a child or student currently in our GT program. Students currently in Grades 2-11 are eligible for potential placement in the GT program. Please complete this form if you wish to refer your child or your student. Reminder for McKinney-Vento Parents and Students: Free laundromat service will be available tonight (May 6th), from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Magic Wash Laundromat in Stamps. You must bring the Voucher-card that was mailed to your house to the laundromat to receive these services.
The Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative has provided area school districts with free access to the extra services from ParentGuidance.org for our parents and caregivers. This website provides parents with answers to their mental health questions. The extra services include: individual Parent Coaching sessions, Webinars on different topics, and Ask a Therapist Live workshops. Our 'End-of-the-Year' state-required testing is right around the corner. Here is the schedule for students in Grades 3-6: Grades 3 & 5 will test between 8:00 and 11:30 from April 28th through May 1st; moreover, Grades 4 & 6 will test between 8:00 and 11:30 from May 5th through May 8th. Please be in attendance, get a good night's rest, and eat breakfast on these upcoming dates. K-2 teachers will reach out to parents for their testing schedule through Class Dojo and student backpack notes.
Classes will resume at normal times tomorrow for both campuses.
Due to a power outage at the Elementary campuses and offices in Lewisville, school will be cancelled today.
Kindergarten Orientation Today
Lafayette County Elementary invites families with children turning 5 by August 1st, 2025 to attend their Kindergarten Orientation today, April 3rd from 3:45-4:45pm. Open enrollment starts today and runs through April 11th. We hope to see you all there!

Just a reminder: Early dismissal tomorrow, March 20th beginning at 2:15pm for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Car riders and first buses will begin loading at 2:15 pm. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Lafayette County Elementary School will host a Bingo for Books family engagement event tonight (March 11th). It will take place from 4:30 P.M. through 6:00 P.M. inside the elementary cafeteria. Light refreshments will be served.
